SeaNet

This is a guide to common marine invertebrates, seaweeds and fishes likely to be encountered on rocky shores and kelp forests of Monterey Bay and central California. The site was created as a teaching tool for undergraduate students at Stanford University's Hopkins Marine Station in Pacific Grove, CA.

Miller Library

This is home to a somewhat unusual Stanford library.

Confocal Microscopy

The David Epel Microscopy Center contains a Zeiss LSM700 confocal microscope (inverted) with the ZEN software is available for use to qualified researchers from local universities and research facilities (Monterey Bay region).

 

Marine Life Observatory

The mission of Hopkins Marine Station’s Marine Life Observatory is to generate and make available consistent long-term data, building the necessary foundation for establishing a scientific baseline on which to evaluate the ecological health of the local marine ecosystem.
