Jeremy Goldbogen
Associate Professor of Oceans, Hopkins Marine Station

"I enjoy teaching because it allows me to use cutting-edge research ideas and techniques to teach fundamental concepts in physiology. This provides students with hands-on, problem-solving laboratory experiences in learning how inertial sensors can be used to study animal movement. By analyzing both their own movement data from smart phones and those from tags deployed on the world’s largest whales, I provide students with a unique learning experience that puts them on the edge of discovery."
