Emergency Grant in Aid: Emergency Grant-in-Aid helps postdocs with a financial emergency or unanticipated expenses, e.g., medical, dental, etc., causing financial hardship for themselves or their dependents. This program assists those who cannot resolve their financial difficulty through fellowships or loans. Emergency Grant-in-Aid awards are grants that reimburse actual expenses. These awards are not loans and are not repaid. Emergency Grant-in-Aid awards are taxable. Aid reimburses postdocs for up to $5,000/academic year (Sept. 1 to Aug. 31).
Child Care Assistance Program: The 22-23 Postdoctoral Scholar Child Care Assistance Grant Program provides up to $5,000/academic year/family to eligible postdoctoral scholars with dependent children to assist with child care. Awards are paid monthly and are taxable income.
Family Grant : The Postdoctoral Scholar Family Grant provides up to $10,000 per academic year (Sept 1 through Aug 31) per family to eligible postdoctoral scholars with dependent children. Funds may be used for family expenses such as healthcare and rent. Awards are paid monthly and are taxable income.
