Housing Assignment & Contract

You must complete the Stanford Hopkins Residence Housing Application to request housing.

Stanford Hopkins Residence is made up of shared bedrooms, communal living rooms, and communal bathrooms. *Note that all units are shared, and single occupancy may not be available* 

Your room assignment will be issued based upon course and program numbers, especially during the summer. Due to the limited space, assignments.

R&DE’s Housing Assignments Office issues housing contracts and assigns student rooms for your time in residence at Stanford Hopkins Residence. 

Stanford Hopkins Residences Agreement applies to students who are assigned to and living in Stanford Hopkins Residences, although the dates of the actual contract may be different depending upon your academic program. You must be an enrolled Stanford student during each quarter of occupancy. A guaranteed quarter of housing is removed if you are an undergraduate student staying there in autumn, winter, or spring quarters; and an assignment priority year is used if you are a graduate student staying there during autumn or winter quarter.

  • Lower Abbott: Unit with 3 Triple Rooms
  • Floyd Cottage: Unit with Two Double Rooms
  • Berlin: Unit with 1 Triple Room
