Housing Payment Schedule

At Stanford Hopkins Residence, housing fees are processed in one of two ways, depending on whether your course or program takes place during an official Stanford Academic Year Quarter:
| Scenario | How You’re Charged | What That Means |
1. Courses or programs that follow the official Stanford Academic Year (Autumn–Spring quarters, plus Summer Session courses that use standard quarter dates) | Through your Student Account | Housing charges appear on your regular quarterly bill alongside tuition and campus fees. You pay them the same way you pay any other term charges (e.g., via Stanford ePay, third‑party billing, or a payment plan). |
2. Courses or programs that follow “Off‑Cycle” dates (Mini‑courses, workshops, internships, or research programs whose start/end dates do not match the published academic‑year calendar) | Through a departmental PTA (Project‑Task‑Award) | Your sponsoring department, lab, or program provides its PTA. Residence fees will be directly billed to the PTA. No charges post to your personal Student Account. |
